From day one, relentless innovative spirit and dedication to fine craftsmanship formed the brand's distinctive identity. From its first pocket watch with two time zones in 1853, to its revolutionary tactile T-Touch watch, Tissot has produced many “firsts” in terms of technology, materials and design. Featured on thes impressive list are the world's first watches in plastic, stone and wood.

In 1858, Charles-Emile Tissot left Le Locle for Russia and successfully sold Tissot Savonnette pocket watches across this huge and influential empire.

This international approach continued. The brand's Swiss-made watches are now worn in 160 countries across five continents, thanks to its 14,000 points of sale worldwide. In 1983, Tissot joined the Swatch Group and is today the company with the highest productivity in the traditional Swiss watch industry. And to top this all off, it is now celebrating 160 years of experience.
